Opening date for Worcestershire’s latest Starbucks Drive-Thru revealed

THE opening date for Worcestershire’s latest Starbucks Drive-Thru has been revealed.

The new 24-hour site at Pinvin Service Station on the A44 will serve customers as early as 6am tomorrow (July 9) at its grand opening.

The first 50 customers into the store will receive a free Starbucks goodie bag.

A Starbucks spokesperson said: “We’re excited to bring the Starbucks experience to Pinvin Services on the A44, creating 14 new jobs.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming customers from 6am on Thursday, July 9, with the first 50 customers receiving a Starbucks goodie bag.

“We’re also proud to be partnering with local charity Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre, who will be joining us in store on opening day as part of the celebrations.”

The 24-hour drive-thru was approved by Wychavon District Council in 2023, despite objections from Pinvin Parish Council and residents.

The parish council had said:  “Creating an out-of-town retail area would increase traffic, increase pollution from cars sitting with engines on waiting for service, especially in winter when it is cold, and the engines are kept running.”

The plan by Euro Garages was backed by Wychavon District Council despite concerns.

The service station itself proved controversial when plans were discussed in 2019, with councillors split over whether to give the move the green light.

The site’s reopening tomorrow is set to create an additional 14 jobs and attract more people to the Pinvin Service Station.

On social media, many customers have already been asking when the site will finally open so they can grab their drive-through coffee.
