A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a crash which closed a busy A-road near Droitwich.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash on the A38 Bromsgrove Road, just outside Chateau Impney.
The incident was reported by an off-duty police officer who had been in the area at the time.
When police arrived, a driver of one of the vehicles had already been taken to hospital.

“An off-duty police officer reported a collision on the A38 near to the Chateau Impney around 1.20pm this afternoon (June 30),” a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.
“Additional officers arrived to find two vehicles involved and the driver of one has been taken to hospital.”
There were long delays while emergency services attended the scene, with the road having been closed for several hours.
