AN area of Evesham is one of the most challenging routes for bin lorries to collect waste – it has been revealed.
Wychavon District Council revealed that Bengeworth is one of the most challenging bin collection routes in the area.
The bin collection round is so challenging that Wychavon District Council has asked waste collection crews to avoid the area during peak times.
A spokesperson for Wychavon District Council said: “Our waste crews work hard to collect bins safely, but Bengeworth in Evesham is one of the most challenging rounds we operate.
“The roads are narrow, and when cars are parked outside both schools during drop‑off and pick‑up, the lorry simply cannot get through.
“We’ve asked our crews to avoid these areas during peak times where possible, but completing the rounds safely and efficiently still has to be our priority.
“If parents and carers could also park safely and legally during these times, avoiding corners, junctions and school zig‑zags, it would make a huge difference and help keep children safe.
“Thank you to everyone who already parks responsibly. It really is appreciated.”
