Dangerous driver who seriously injured woman in head-on crash jailed

A DANGEROUS driver who caused a crash which left a woman with serious injuries has been jailed.

Archie Morgan, 25, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday (June 17) to be sentenced for two motoring offences.

Morgan, of Blakeshall Lane, Wolverley, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by careless driving after the Volkswagen Polo he had been driving crashed head-on into a Kia Sportage on the B4024, Clifton-upon-Teme, on June 23, 2023.

Prison sentences explained

The passenger of the Kia, a woman in her 50s, was seriously injured in the crash, while the driver, a man in his 60s, and Morgan suffered less serious injuries.

The 25-year-old was sent to prison for three years and two months, and banned from driving for four years and seven months.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said they did not have a custody photo of Archie Morgan.
