A Worcester pizza restaurant has launched a competition to support local football teams.
Fireaway at 7-9 Angel Street is taking part in a nationwide Champions of the Future campaign designed to celebrate grassroots sports teams.
The competition will invite coaches and parents to nominate their teams for a chance to win one of three prizes, including a £1,000 cash prize towards new kits, £500 for new kits or a £100 Fireaway voucher for a team lunch.
Entries can be submitted at fireaway.co.uk/giveaway, outlining who the team is, what their needs are, and why they deserve support.
Anis Hadji, Fireaway’s managing director, said: “Football has always been about more than the game itself, it’s about community, belonging, and the people who make it all happen at grassroots level.
“As a brand that’s built on those same values, we wanted to use the excitement of this summer’s tournament to do something that really matters to the communities we serve.”
