Man admits to sexually assaulting 11-year-old at city railway station

A MAN has admitted to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl at a Worcester railway station.

Jake Spooner, 28, appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (June 9) charged with assaulting a girl under 13 by touching.

Spooner, of Wolverhampton Road, Stafford, had intentionally touched the girl, who was 11 at the time of the assault, in a sexual way at Worcester Foregate Street station on August 16, 2025.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was remanded on bail until his next hearing at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 7.

An interim sexual harm prevention order was made on the 28-year-old, which prevents him from approaching, touching or speaking to women he does not know on any form of public transport, unless they are staff and he has no other choice than to do so.

He is also banned from being drunk on any public transport.

The sexual harm prevention order is in place until his next court hearing.
