Teenage driver caught at 96mph near UK national park

A TEENAGE driver was caught speeding at nearly 100mph near a major UK national park.

Ryan Sassi from Worcester was caught driving a BMW at 96mph on the A30 on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

The 19 year-old, of Humber Road, Worcester, pleaded guilty to breaking the 70mph speed limit at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (June 2).

He was fined £246 and given five points on his licence.

He was also ordered to pay £120 in costs and a £98 surcharge.
