A NEW betting shop in Worcester city centre is set to open for the first time this weekend – just yards away from its current location.
Betfred has taken over the former Merkur Slots casino on The Cross.
Signs in the window of the store are advertising the business will open on Saturday (May 30).
Betfred currently operates a betting shop just two doors down, also on The Cross.
Worcester News has contacted Betfred for a comment on the future of its existing location
