A PIZZA chain is inviting older relatives to enjoy a free slice of the action to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Fireaway Pizza today launched its month-long ‘Nonnas Eat For Free’ promotion, encouraging people to bring an older relative or loved one to a participating store to dine for free.
The chain, which has a branch in Angel Street, Worcester, is applying the offer to groups of two diners or more.
Fireaway CEO Mario Aleppo said: “My nonna came over from the Amalfi Coast with nothing, worked hard her whole life, built something from scratch, and left me with a love of food and a belief that the best things in life are made with care and shared with people who matter.
“Ten years ago I opened our first store on that same foundation: proper ingredients, no shortcuts, and food that brings people together.
“That’s why nonna has always been at the heart of our food story.”

The promotion is part of the brand’s wider anniversary campaign, which aims to encourage more quality time with loved ones.
Research commissioned by Fireaway revealed that 59 per cent of UK adults wish they ate with family more often, with 88 per cent agreeing that shared meals are a simple way to feel connected.
However, 33 per cent said distance is a barrier, 29 per cent cited conflicting schedules, and 57 per cent admitted phones and screens are a common distraction during mealtimes.
Mr Aleppo said: “This anniversary is our way of saying: whatever’s getting in the way, let pizza be the reason you finally just get together.
“Gather your people.”
Each customer must register for the offer – which runs until May 31 – online and will receive a QR code to redeem a free pizza in store.
To celebrate the anniversary, Fireaway has also launched a limited-edition Italian menu for May, featuring pizzas such as Arrabiata, Diavola, and Quattro Formaggi, as well as sides including truffle mushroom cheese bites and caprese salad.
