West Worcestershire Conservative Association have launched a Business Club to support and connect business leaders.
The club aims to provide a forum for local firms to share ideas, discuss challenges, and engage directly with policymakers, including their local MP.
The first meeting was attended by Dame Harriett Baldwin, MP for West Worcestershire, and Nigel Huddleston, Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, MP for Droitwich and Evesham.
Ian Daly, chairman of the WWCA, said: “With the introduction of the new Employment Bill this month, many business leaders are worried about how it will affect their staff, customers and the wider economy.
“We felt that businesses need the opportunity to discuss these changes and share ideas of how best to adapt to them.
“With the local MP and a senior member of the shadow cabinet attending our meetings, we hope to help local businesses improve their resilience and give them the opportunity to enhance their network.”
Attendees included representatives from a wide range of industries, including hospitality, artificial intelligence, and property.
The Business Club also supported the newly launched Young Entrepreneur scheme, with many businesses signing up to offer work experience to students in local schools.
