THE ANNUAL Worcester Balloon Festival is clouded in uncertainty with no tickets having been issued just weeks before the usual time for the event.
The summer show normally attracts thousands of people over a weekend at Pitchcroft in the city centre, but there has been no build up this year.
The festival’s website is down and no new information has been issued on the dedicated Instagram page or on Skiddle – last year’s ticket outlet.
Asked if he had any information about the event’s future, organiser David Bailey said: “We don’t yet, we’re still working on it, so we’ve got no comments until we work out what we’re doing.”
When asked what the delay was, Mr Bailey replied: “We’ve got no comments, we’re working on it.”

Organised by Show Time Events, the festival first came to Worcester Racecourse in June 2023.
Featuring hot air balloons, live arena entertainment, a funfair, fireworks and food and drink, it became a popular attraction over the next two years.
Last year, there were biking re-enactments, civil war drills and motorcycling stunt teams in the main arena.
Out in the open there was an American Civil War and Viking village and circus skills shop among the other goings-on.
Around 20,000 people from across the county and the UK made the trip to Pitchcroft.
Those who attended gave positive feedback after enjoying the show in hot weather.
Festival host Ryan Swain said at the time that it was “always a pleasure coming back to Worcester.”
He told Worcester News that the festival organisers would respond soon when approached for comment.
