Huge fine for man who drove carelessly on residential streets

A HUGE fine has been handed down after a man drove carelessly on residential streets.

Steven King, 49, drove a Peugeot Partner van without due care and attention on the Sawmill Close and Wyld’s Lane earlier this year.

He was sentenced for the single count of driving without due care and attention at Redditch Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 28.

King, of Sawmill Close, Worcester was fined £1,000 and given nine penalty points.

He was also ordered to pay £130 in costs and a £400 surcharge.
