Singing group to star at summer soirée to support church

An historic church will be praying for more glorious weather when it hosts a summer soirée packed full of seasonal food and music.

The Friends of the Church of St Martin in Holt are set to welcome the return of popular local singers the Many Men  on Saturday, June 13, at the Grade I-listed church.

The event will raise funds for the ongoing preservation of the historic building.

The Many Men, who previously played to a packed audience at a December concert, will take listeners on a musical “tour of the UK” with songs inspired by regions across the country.

Hayley Kelsall, vice chair of the Friends group, said: “The Many Men really struck a chord with the community back in December and we’re delighted to be welcoming them back to help get us in the mood for summer.

“We hope people will join us for another wonderful afternoon and evening of music and delicious food.”

Visitors will be treated to delicious Ploughman’s lunches, puddings, Pimm’s, and cakes will be served, alongside a plant sale and raffle.

The donation-on-entry event starts at 5.30pm with people asked to bring cash.
