Robert Plant surprised fans with a live performance on stage last night (August 21).

Robert Plant joined Mike Sanchez and his band during a show at Kidderminster Town Hall, performing eight songs, including a Led Zeppelin classic.

Special guests included Jeanie Vincent and Ricky Cool, with support from Crimson Flame and Chloe Mogg.

A spokesperson for Kidderminster Town Hall described the night as “a show that will go down in history.”

They said: “We’ve been tight lipped on this one for over a month… the relief is real.”

Another of the special guests, blues singer Chloe Mogg wrote via Instagram “Last night was a very special one, we went to play a gig at Kidderminster Town Hall and somehow found ourselves supporting four absolute legends.”

“Mike Sanchez, who then brought out some very special guests, Robert Plant, Jean Vincent and Ricky Cool.”

She said it was “a genuinely surreal experience, and one we’ll never forget.”

“We’re not coming down from this cloud for a long, long, long time.”

There were only 500 people in attendance at the gig, who can now count themselves particularly lucky after getting to see the legendary Led Zeppelin front man perform.

The live performance came just one day after his 78th birthday, proving he has still got it.

Robert Plant is set to embark on his North American tour in September and October, which kicks off with a gig in St Louis, Missouri.
