A photographer has been recognised with a prestigious award for his many years of voluntary service.
Mike Henley, a well-known figure in the Worcestershire community, received the Pride of Worcestershire award at the Worcestershire Ambassadors’ annual ball, held this year at West Midlands Safari Park.
Vince Hopkins, chairman of Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: “Over many years, Mike has attended countless charity events to take photographs without charging for his valuable time, services, and professionalism.
“This award is not just for his great work with Worcestershire Ambassadors but also on behalf of all the other charities and great causes Mike has freely helped to promote and support.
“He is a thoroughly deserved winner of our Pride of Worcestershire award.”
The award is given to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the county and the organisation.
More than 300 guests attended the event, which raised £45,000 for charities and good causes across Worcestershire.
