Man cannot enter two Co-ops, a Tesco, and a Greggs for the next two years

A Worcester man has been banned from entering several shops across the city and cannot drink in public after a shoplifting conviction.

Jack Payne, 30, of The Foregate, cannot step foot inside two Co-ops, a Tesco, and a Greggs for the next two years after receiving a criminal behaviour order, or CBO, at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (April 28).

He appeared at the court where he was convicted for stealing alcohol from the Co-op on Ombersley Road.

Tanya Beckett, safer neighbourhood inspector for Worcester, said: “We are pleased to get this CBO for Payne, whose shoplifting and street drinking have impacted many retailers and members of the public.

“We will not tolerate such criminal behaviour in Worcester and will act like this where appropriate.

“Anyone who sees Payne breaching the terms of his CBO should call 101 or report it online.”

Payne’s criminal behaviour order will expire on April 27, 2028.
