First 100 guests to get free carvery as new restaurant opens in Bromsgrove

The first 100 guests at a new restaurant in Bromsgrove will receive a free carvery on opening day.

The Toby Carvery site on Birmingham Road will open its doors on Thursday (October 29) giving local residents a new place to eat roast dinners.

The launch will include a Toby Chef Hat Hunt, with 10 chef hats hidden in businesses around Bromsgrove from October 28 to November 1.

Two hats will be hidden each day.

People who find one can enter a prize draw, including a year’s worth of carveries (awarded in the form of a £1,000 gift card).

Participants are asked to follow the restaurant’s Instagram account for clues.

The restaurant will serve roast dinners every day from opening, with chefs preparing roast turkey, roast beef and roast gammon each morning.

Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings will also be made for customers alongside the other traditional trimmings.

Located in the former Guild pub, the site was previously a Brewers Fayre and has received more than £1m of investment for its conversion.

The investment will support the creation of around 35 jobs for people in the local area.

Toby Carvery said the opening is intended to help the restaurant connect with the Bromsgrove community, including local businesses and groups.

General Manager Richard Davis said: “We’re so excited to show off the new Toby to the local community. At Toby, we’ve spent 40 years mastering the Great British roast and we can’t wait to bring that quality and flavour to Bromsgrove.”

General Manager Richard Davis said: “Coming to a new area meant that engaging with the community was really important to us. That’s why we’ve launched the Toby Chef Hat Hunt, to get out and speak to local businesses and groups, and most importantly, welcome the public into the Home of the Roast.”

Bookings and further information are available on the Toby Carvery Bromsgrove website.

Free carveries for the first 100 opening guests will be available from 11.30am, while the £1,000 gift card covers at least one adult main course each week for a year.

Customers can also use the site to check opening details and make a booking before visiting.
