A POPULAR city centre cafe is currently temporarily closed with eviction notices placed on the venue’s windows.
Good Roots, at The Porcelain Works in Severn Street, Worcester, has a sign posted on its windows stating the landlord has “re-entered and taken possession of the premises in accordance with the Landlord’s power to do so.”
It adds: “Any attempt by you or your agents to enter the premises may result in criminal/civil proceedings being taken against you.”

Good Roots has been closed for a number of days with a Facebook post citing technical issues.

The most recent post states: “We’re closed again today. Don’t worry we’ll be back very soon.”

“The Bransford Trust is a charitable trust run by volunteer trustees and has spent or donated over £10m in recent years for the benefit of the local community.
“The closure of the café is extremely disappointing and the Trust has sympathy for their staff and customers.”

Worcester News has approached both Good Roots and Royal Porcelain Works for comment but did not receive a response ahead of publication.
Its listing on Google shows it is currently temporarily closed.
On TripAdvisor, it has a score of 3.5 out of 5 and it often appears in lists of best city independent cafes.
Reviewers had commented on the café offering a ‘perfect Sunday brunch’ and praised ‘delicious cakes’.
