Drivers warned of major three night motorway closure in Worcestershire

Drivers have been warned of a major motorway closure in Worcestershire.

National Highways has warned that the M50 between the M5 junction 8 (Strensham) and the M50 junction 2 (Bury Court) will be closed for three nights.

The section of motorway that provides many Worcestershire drivers a route into Wales will be closed on May 12, Friday (May 13) and Monday (May 18).

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “The westbound carriageway of the M50 will be closed between the M5 junction 8 at Strensham and the M50 junction 2 (Bury Court) from 9pm to 6am on Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Monday 18 May.

“Please follow signed diversions and allow extra time for your journeys.”

This section of M50 will be closed to allow resurfacing works to take place.
