Castle unveils magical new theme for Christmas light trail

Warwick Castle’s Christmas festivities are set to begin with the return of the Festive Light Trail.

This year, the event has a new theme, ‘Follow the Glow, Find the Fairies,’ where seven fairies have taken residence in the castle grounds.

The fairies have each left a bit of their magic hidden around the grounds for families to find.

The heart of the light trail is The Fairy Hollow, a new hideaway in the castle’s 64 acres.

Visitors can enter through a secret door into a snowy, glowing hollow, where Northern Lights shimmer across the walls and fibre optics twinkle above among frosted trees.

Illuminated fairy houses line the trail, and a magical self-playing piano plays festive tunes for the fairies gathered around it.

Visitors can also take a look through a window into a magical tree hollow before stepping into an immersive experience among the fairy wings for a festive family photo.

Tickets are on sale now, with activities available to book from November 21.

The light trail, which will run until January 3, will see the castle grounds illuminated with a festive sparkle through new installations, a fresh soundtrack, and updated lighting design.

On December 7, the trail will host a Sensory Friendly night, offering a calmer way to enjoy the magic of the season.

Beyond the trail, guests can skate on the open-air ice rink, meet Santa, Mrs Claus, and their elves in Stories with Santa inside the historic staterooms, and enjoy the festive atmosphere at the Christmas Village’s food, drink, and market stalls.

The Coca-Cola Company is the event’s new headline sponsor.
