THE best and worst GP practices in the city have been revealed, showing a postcode lottery when it comes to overall patient experience.
The GP Patient Survey is a barometer of GP practice services across England, shining a light on how each surgery has performed in 2026, including overall experience.
Ranked top in Worcester is Spring Gardens Medical Practice with an overall good patient experience rating of 86 per cent, but at the bottom are Elbury Moor Medical Centre and St John’s House Surgery where just 68 per cent of patients said they had a good overall experience.
From how easy it is to get through to your GP practice on the phone to how helpful staff are, the results are considered important because the service is often people’s first point of contact with the NHS. It is a GP surgery which provides a first assessment and diagnosis, refers patients to other parts of the health service for treatment and care and reduces the burden on emergency departments and hospitals.
The latest official statistics for England for the GP Patient Survey were published today (July 9), presenting the results of aggregated data collected by online and postal surveys from January 2 this year and April 13 this year.
