A family of four from Cutnall Green have put down roots in their first brand-new home in Rushwick.
Stewart and Hayley Downing have moved to The Cypress, a four-bedroom property in Rushwick with their daughters, Grace, 16, and Lauren, 13, after leaving their five-bedroom house in Cutnall Green.
The decision comes as their eldest daughter prepares for university.
Mr Downing said: “While we loved our old house in Cutnall Green, it was an older property and our garden was massive, so maintaining the home took up a lot of family time.
“We’d come to a point where Grace was planning for university and we didn’t need the space of a large five-bedroom home.”
The family chose The Green, a Lioncourt Homes development in Rushwick, for its convenient location and quality.
Mrs Downing said: “We saw a lot of new developments when looking but ultimately targeted The Green due to the big difference in space and build quality.”
The family was particularly drawn to the design and practical features of The Cypress, including a separate utility room, multiple bathrooms, and what they described as a “chill-out space” in the kitchen.

Mrs Downing said: “We feel relieved to have moved.
“We had green fields nearby before so wanted to get as close to that as possible.
“With the rural outlook here facing greenery, and the proximity to the city centre, we have the best of both worlds.”
