A VILLAGE supermarket has closed after bailiffs were called to the business.
Morrisons Local in Fernhill Heath is closed after bailiffs were called and the landlord took possession of the building on Friday (August 21).
Bailiffs, acting on behalf of the landlord of the property, revealed that the site on Droitwich Road was taken into the landlord’s possession by peaceable re-entry.

A sign posted on the entrance to Morrisons Local reads: “Take notice that the landlord has this day (21 August 2026) exercised their right to peaceably re-enter and take possession of these premises known as Morrisons Local.
“Any lease or license is hereby determined.
“This property is now legally occupied by the landlords.
“Any attempt to break into this property will be classed as a criminal offence and will be reported to the police.”

The notice goes on to list a number of items left behind in the store that can be collected by Morrisons upon payment of bailiff fees, with supervised re-entry.
If the items are not collected by September 5, the landlord reserves the right to sell or dispose of the goods, the notice states.
Several items have been left inside the store, including multiple fridges and freezers, a slush machine, a Costa Coffee machine, confectionery, alcohol, tills, and more.
Morrisons has been approached for comment but has not provided one before publication.
