A NEW £1.3 million depot has opened just off the M5 near Worcestershire and has created 38 permanent jobs.
The new Evri depot, strategically positioned at Indurent Park in Quedgeley so it is near the M5, is set to handle around 8,000 parcels each night, increasing to approximately 13,000 during peak periods.
The facility replaces the Tewkesbury depot and is part of Evri Group’s expansion after it acquired DHL eCommerce UK.
Spanning over 57,000 square feet, the depot is designed to support long-term growth across the Southwest.

The aim is to enhance service levels and provide flexibility across the regional network.
It offers greater operational capacity than the previous Tewkesbury facility, which had reached its limit.

The move is expected to help the company meet the region’s growing demand for parcel delivery.
Gary Chalk, director of depots at Evri Premium, said the opening of the Gloucester depot is a significant investment in the network.
He highlighted the new facility’s benefits, including additional capacity and resilience across the Southwest.

“As parcel volumes continue to grow, investments like this are helping us build a stronger, more efficient and future-ready network.”
The depot also includes sustainability features such as solar photovoltaic panels and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.
This aligns with Evri Group’s goal of building a more efficient, future-ready logistics network.
It provides a strong platform to manage increasing parcel volumes in the region in the coming years.
The company plans to handle 1 billion parcels in 2026, with a target of 1.4 billion by 2030.
