Lift company makes chamber of commerce awards final

A lift safety business has been named a finalist in the 2026 Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Atwell International Ltd, based at Ball Mill Top Business Park, Hallow, has been shortlisted in the Excellence in Innovation category.

The award scheme celebrates businesses across the two counties that demonstrate outstanding performance, growth, and forward-thinking approaches within their sectors.

Atwell International’s nomination recognises its commitment to developing safety-led solutions within the lift industry.

Russell Walker, managing director at Atwell International, said: “We are delighted to be named a finalist in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

“The Excellence in Innovation category is particularly meaningful to us, as innovation is at the core of everything we do as a business.

“I would like to thank our team for their continued hard work and commitment, as this recognition is a direct result of their efforts.

“Following a strong period of growth and industry recognition, we are now looking ahead to the next phase of our journey, with plans to expand the business further in 2026 and continue investing in both innovation and our people.”

The shortlisting follows a detailed written application and interviews with representatives from the Chamber and category sponsors.

Atwell International was founded in 1996 and supplies VG Safety Products and associated lift components.

Operating globally from its base in Worcestershire, the company continues to invest in innovation, expansion, and team development.

The finalist recognition is the latest in a series of recent successes for the company.

In 2025, Atwell International was named Best Supplier – Safety Products at the Ellies Europe Awards, held during Interlift 2025.

Its VG AiO Speed Watcher was also shortlisted for the Elevator World Product of the Year Award.

The company was most recently named a finalist for the Worcestershire Innovation Champion Award.

Mr Walker said: “The application has, and subsequent interview process will, give us a valuable opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, particularly over the last few years.

“To be recognised alongside other forward-thinking businesses across the region is a fantastic achievement for our entire team.”

The winners of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
