A RAILWAY station has opened its first permanent café on-site.
Worcestershire Parkway Station welcomed the new café, Nomad Coffee Co, after three years of operating a temporary coffee van outside.
Nomad Coffee Co, which previously operated from the van on site and also has a branch at Redditch Railway Station, moved into the unit after requests for a more permanent site.

Cat Rainey, owner of Nomad Coffee Co, said: “After three years of operating from outside the station in our coffee van, opening our shop inside Worcestershire Parkway has been a huge milestone for us.

“At Nomad Coffee Co, we’re proud to be a community-focused independent business offering great coffee on the go, and we’re delighted to be bringing such a high-quality offering to passengers using the station.
“The support we’ve received from customers, partners and stakeholders has been incredible, and we’re excited to continue growing alongside Worcestershire Parkway in the years ahead.”
To mark the occasion, the first 50 commuters received a free coffee and pastry.

Nigel Huddleston, MP for Droitwich and Evesham, said: “It is fantastic to see a permanent coffee shop open at Worcestershire Parkway.
“The station’s usage has far exceeded expectations, and facilities like this are an important part of supporting its continued growth.

Worcestershire Parkway recorded more than 450,000 passenger journeys in 2024/25, highlighting its growing role in connecting communities to major destinations including London, Oxford, Birmingham and South Wales.
Great Western Railway (GWR), Network Rail and Amey supported the transition.
Zach Bailey, GWR’s regional development manager for the East, said: “Worcestershire Parkway has gone from strength to strength over the past five years and now serves hundreds of thousands of customers every year, supporting travel, connectivity and economic activity.
“The opening of permanent premises for Nomad Coffee Co marks the first step towards improving customer facilities at the station.”
