A MAIN road on the edge of Worcester was suddenly closed yesterday (October 21) evening – here is what we know.
The A44 through Spetchley was closed from at least 6.30pm for at least an hour after reports that a lorry had crashed into the railway bridge.
Witnesses report seeing police cars blocking both directions at the roundabouts with the A4440 and Pershore Lane.

A recovery truck was allegedly visible at around 7.30pm from the roundabout with Pershore Lane.
West Mercia Police has been approached for comment.
