A Droitwich schoolwear specialist has acquired a Derby uniform shop as part of plans to expand its business and help keep school uniform costs affordable for families.
Regency Clothing Ltd, based in Droitwich, has taken over Uniformality Ltd which has been in business for more than 10 years and currently supplies uniforms to more than 40 schools across Derbyshire.
The company has invested around £20,000 in refurbishing the Derby store and will use its Droitwich warehouse to improve stock availability.
Sue Hicks, operations director at Regency Clothing, said: “We are known for providing excellent quality uniforms for nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools, and that is something we want to build on.
“We are seeing strong demand with more schools coming on board, particularly here in Worcestershire, and our warehouse means we can keep more stock available and help keep prices low for parents, particularly during the ongoing cost-of-living pressures.
“We want to support parents wherever we can, and we’re keen to work with schools across the county to help them access competitively priced uniform.
“Our community fund also means that, alongside helping families with the cost of uniform, we can put something back into the schools and communities we serve.”
Regency Clothing plans to donate one penny from every pound spent to a school’s community fund as part of its wider community support efforts.
The company also supplies workwear for the catering and hospitality sectors and said the acquisition is part of a wider plan to grow the company’s schoolwear business across Worcestershire.
They encouraged schools and parents interested in their services to get in touch to discuss how the company can support their needs.
