A LONG-running kennel and cattery business has been sold to a new owner after more than 30 years of operation.
Strawbyn Kennels & Cattery, based on Castlemorton Common, has been acquired by Green Paws Care Ltd after trading on the site for three decades.
The business, located on the 4.1-acre site between Malvern and Ledbury, is registered for 64 dogs and 34 cats, and includes a primary residence and a separate cottage.

Eighty per cent of its turnover comes from kennel services.
Jonathan Bryce, deal executive at Altius, who handled the transaction, said: “Strawbyn is a well-established business with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base, supported by an attractive freehold property and further opportunities for growth.

The facilities include a range of single, double, treble and family kennels, each with secure outside areas, alongside dedicated cattery accommodation.

The site also benefits from two acres of secure paddocks, where dogs receive supervised walks and opportunities for exercise and social interaction.
The property offers potential for expansion, with the possibility of increasing boarding capacity subject to planning permission and licensing.
The sale attracted significant interest, with multiple offers received from four trade buyers before the final agreement with Green Paws Care Ltd.
