A perverted pensioner who sexually abused children as young as four for almost two decades has been jailed.
Prolific offender Nigel Moor carried out ‘prolonged and sustained’ campaigns of sexual assaults against girls between 2006 and 2024.
Moor, of Hunters Green, Droitwich, previously admitted to six counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration, five counts of sexual assault on a female, four counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, and three counts of assault on a female 13 and over by penetration.
Appearing in person at Worcester Crown Court on Friday (September 4) for 18 counts of sexual offences, Moor spoke only to confirm his name.
The court heard that Moor committed a series of offences over a prolonged period of time against his victims, becoming bolder with his offending as time passed.
Moor had targeted vulnerable girls, leaving one believing she was in a relationship with him and causing her to be afraid of making him jealous if she took an interest in boys her own age.
In an impact statement read out in court by the prosecution, one of the victims explained how Moor had deliberately chosen her because she was an “easy and vulnerable target” and that he saw this and took his opportunity.
The court heard that the girl struggled with her mental health, experiencing suicidal thoughts, and barely left the house for multiple years.
However, despite what he put her through, the victim is not letting his abuse destroy her future.
She said: “The harm he has caused will not define me. I have already achieved so much.”
In another statement read out in court, the mother of another victim said that their daughter’s childhood was taken away from her by his actions, and she had also struggled with her mental health as a result.
They added: “His choices and actions will not define her. She is stronger than he ever was.”

Mitigating, Amanda O’Mara, Moor’s defence barrister, told the court he was remorseful for his actions.
She said: “All he wants to do is apologise for his actions. Why it occurred, he cannot say.”
Miss O’Mara also mentioned his poor health, including heart problems, kidney problems, and type 2 diabetes.
Sentencing, Judge Andrew Lockhart described his offending as prolonged and sustained incidents and said he acted in a ‘deliberate and calculating way’.
He said: “Your behaviour was towards very young children who were vulnerable.
“It was a prolific pattern of sexual abuse.”

Moor was jailed for 14 years, with an additional five years on extended licence when he is released from prison.
He was also handed a 15-year sexual harm prevention order, which prevents him from coming into contact with children under 16 unless specific exceptions are allowed, and restraining orders preventing him from contacting any of his victims for the next two decades.
After Moor was taken out of court, Judge Jackson addressed the girls he had targeted directly.
He said: “Thank you for coming. What really helped me is that you are not going to make this define your lives.
“It is rare I hear people say this will not define them, and it does not. You are just at the start of your journey. Please leave it behind if you can.”
