A “nervous” Meghan Markle is reportedly fearing a Cotswolds school run without police protection upon her return to the UK with Prince Harry.
Reports have claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have returned to Britain with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after spending the past six years living in California.
The family is said to be staying temporarily at a property in the Cotswolds owned by a celebrity friend while searching for a permanent home in the region.
According to the reports, Harry and Meghan have already made an offer worth more than £12 million on a property near Stow-on-the-Wold and are planning an extended stay in the UK.
It has also been claimed that Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, have been enrolled at a local school and could begin attending this month.
The reported move has reignited discussion around the Sussexes’ security arrangements, particularly following Prince Harry’s long-running legal challenge over levels of protection provided during visits to the UK.
A friend of the Duchess told The Sun: “The school run is a tricky issue and I understand they are nervous about it.”
The publication reported that Meghan is concerned about carrying out everyday family activities without the police protection available to working members of the Royal Family.
Neither the Duke nor Duchess has publicly commented on the claims.
Harry and Meghan previously lived at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor after their marriage in 2018 before stepping back from royal duties and relocating to North America in 2020.
