A care home has brought the magic of an ocean cruise to its residents with a themed afternoon of music and entertainment.
Belmont Care Home hosted a “Cruise Around the World” event, transforming the home into a lively cruise ship experience complete with songs, laughter, and stories of far-flung destinations.
The event was organised by lifestyle coordinator Amy Robertson and featured a special performance by former cruise performer John Richard’s, who shared memories and music from his time at sea.
Blaise Osman, customer relations manager at Belmont Care Home, said: “It was fantastic to see just how much our residents enjoyed the afternoon.
“The smiles, laughter, and singing really showed what a success the event was.
“Amy put so much thought and effort into creating the experience, and it was wonderful to see all of her hard work pay off.
“Having John Richard’s join us made it even more special, and our residents absolutely loved being taken on a cruise around the world without leaving Belmont.”
Residents spent the afternoon reminiscing about past holidays, singing along, and enjoying the company of friends in a setting designed to spark happy memories.
The event is part of Belmont’s ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful and enjoyable experiences for its residents.
