People have been encouraged to prioritise their hearing health following recent audiology open days.
Specsavers stores in Malvern and Worcester hosted community events aimed at starting conversations about hearing health and offering a short hearing screener to visitors.
The hearing screener, completed on a tablet, gives an initial indication of whether a full hearing check could be beneficial.
Sandeep Khatkar, store director at Specsavers Malvern and Worcester, said: “Our open days showed just how important it is to create opportunities for people to talk openly about their hearing.
“We had so many positive conversations with people from the community, including some who had been unsure about where to start.”
Staff were available to answer questions and provide advice about hearing devices during the events.
Following the open days, representatives from GN Hearing visited the stores to deliver additional training to team members.
Mrs Khatkar said: “We’re really passionate about keeping our team’s knowledge up to date so it was great to have GN Hearing to visit us too.”
The extra training is designed to help staff build on the advice and support they offer customers.
