A popular village pub will continue trading as normal despite the building being put up for sale.
The freehold of The Talbot in Kempsey, near Worcester, has been listed for sale with an asking price of more than £847,500.
However, the sale does not affect the pub’s day-to-day operation because the property is let to Marston’s under a long-term lease.

According to the listing on Rightmove, the entire property is leased to Marston’s and the current lease runs until November 2031.
The listing states that the business will “continue to trade unaffected” during the marketing of the property and after any sale is completed.
The Grade II-listed pub on Main Road extends to more than 7,000 sq ft and sits on a site of around 0.7 acres, with indoor seating for about 115 customers and outdoor space for a further 148.

A spokesperson for Savills, which listed the property on Rightmove, said: “The ground floor trading area comprises a central bar servery with a main bar area, games room and dining area with seating on loose tables, chairs and booths for approximately 115 customers in total.
“Ancillary areas include customer WCs (including disabled), a large trade kitchen, beer cellar and storage room located to the rear.
“The first floor provides two separate managers’ flats which comprise a large double bedroom, lounge, kitchen, three separate bathrooms with a manager’s office and storage room.
“The second floor provides further managers’ accommodation comprising three double bedrooms.

Decision over car park payments at The Talbot in Kempsey
The Talbot in Kempsey revealed it was cracking down on those who have been using its private car park to drop off their children at school, engage in illegal activities, or visit neighbouring businesses earlier this year.
It follows the landlord, Martin Hannon, receiving complaints from his delivery drivers and customers who have struggled to park.
Customers who wish to use the car park can enter their vehicle registration after purchasing an item worth at least £2 from the venue.
