AS temperatures are set to rise this weekend, there’s nothing better than a little cold water to dip your toes in to keep the heat at bay.
Here in Worcestershire, we have plenty of splashpads where people of all ages can cool off and have fun.
We have compiled a list of the six best splashpads in Worcestershire for a cool-down on a warm weekend.
Saltwich Spash
Where: Lido Park, Droitwich
Droitwich Lido Park is one of the standout outdoor water destinations in Worcestershire, offering both a splash pad and a heated outdoor swimming pool.
However, it opened a new 550k splash pad in 2025, ready for children of all ages to enjoy.

The site is nestled in the Droitwich Spa Lido Park, next to the tennis courts, and is marked by wooden signs reading “Saltwich Splash” at each entrance to the area.
The park also includes a café, making it easy for parents to relax with a coffee or snack while children enjoy the water.
Gheluevelt Splashpad
Where: Gheluevelt Park, Worcester

The much-loved Gheluevelt Park is home to a large and colourful splashpad.
With its several floor fountains to weave in and out of and a larger shower to cool you off, this popular summer spot is a must-visit in the heatwave.
Surrounded by green open spaces, there’s plenty of room for kids to let off some steam or to lie in the shade of the trees dotted around the park.
Brinton Park Splashpad
Where: Kidderminster
Brinton Park in Kidderminster, which is undergoing a major upgrade, features a popular splash pad designed especially for younger children.
It’s a reliable summer favourite for families.

The splash pad is typically open daily from 11am to 5pm throughout the warmer months, often running until late September.
Abbey Park Water Play Fountains

Set in an attractive area with seats and rubber safety surfacing, the play fountains feature a variety of sprays which are great fun to use to cool down on a hot day.
Children or adults can operate the fountains by standing on pressure pads embedded in the floor.

The whole system is operated by automatic electronic controls that turn the water on at 10am and off at 6pm each day.
The Valley Shopping Centre Splashpad
Where: Evesham
Another great place in Worcestershire for family fun is the kid-friendly splash pad in Evesham.
With fountains and sprinklers, kids are sure to keep the heat complaints low.
There are deckchairs around for parents to chill for a moment while their kids safely splash in the sprinklers.
Surrounded by shops and eateries providing much-needed shade, this splashpad is perfectly placed for an entire day of summer fun.
Abbey Park Splashpad
Where: Abbey Park in Pershore
Abbey Park provides hours of family-friendly fun with its 18 interactive water-play features to spark imaginative play this summer.
There are plenty of fun games ready to be had with the apple tree tipping buckets, water fence sprays and an impressive jumping horse water feature.
And to ensure the whole family is involved, the more gentle toddler-friendly river for younger visitors allows for safer and more relaxed water play.
