Groups invited to apply for up to £1,000 funding for new projects

Community groups are being invited to apply for grants to support new projects.

Worcester City Council has launched this year’s Worcester Community Grants programme, offering up to £1,000 for initiatives that strengthen communities, support local causes, and improve wellbeing.

Funding must be used for specific activities or projects and cannot go toward general running costs.

Councillor Katie Collier, vice chair of Worcester City Council’s communities committee, said: “The City Council has supported a wide range of organisations through the Community Grants programme in recent years.

“These grants have enabled groups to deliver valuable initiatives that bring people together, improve wellbeing and create lasting positive change across Worcester.”

She encouraged all eligible organisations to take advantage of the opportunity.

Applications can be submitted online via the council’s website or in person at the Guildhall in Worcester.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, August 2.
