‘It’s all about the team’ as off the beaten track pub crowned best in county

A VILLAGE pub near Evesham has been crowned one of the best in the county.

The Bridge Inn and Ferry in Offenham has another accolade to its name after winning the ‘Best loved pub’ award at the Muddy Stilettos for Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

Landlord of The Bridge Inn and Ferry, Alistair Barlow, has put the award down to the team at the pub who ‘work tirelessly to make every guest’s experience positive, memorable, and enjoyable’.

Mr Barlow said: “We are all truly over the moon to have won ‘Best loved pub’ and we are so very grateful to everybody that took the time to vote for us.

“This one’s all about the team, they work tirelessly every day to make every guest’s experience here a positive, memorable, and enjoyable one, whether they’re popping in for a pint or enjoying a meal celebrating a special occasion with family and friends.

“Being ‘off the beaten track’ we know we have to offer our guests something special to entice them to choose to travel to us, so delivering great service, food, and drink in a comfortable atmosphere is the driving force behind everything we strive to achieve.

“Pubs are such an important part of the fabric of society, providing a space for people to come together in good times and tough times, so to be recognised as the best-loved local pub doesn’t just make me incredibly proud, it’s also quite humbling.”
