Sentencing date for Worcester man who sexually assaulted children

A SENTENCING date has been set for a Worcester man who sexually assaulted children.

The Worcester News previously reported how David Cruz, of Lichfield Road, was found guilty of seven sexual offences involving children over a four-year period at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, May 21.

The 22-year-old was found guilty of one count of attempting to rape a girl under 13, one count of assault on a girl under 13 by touching, and three counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity between February 2019 and February 2021.

He was also found guilty two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl between 13 and 15 when over 18, which were committed after the original offences, between October 2022 and January 2023.

Following the trial, Cruz was remanded into custody, and a sentencing date has now been set for Thursday, August 27.
