A historic entertainment venue once nearly demolished in the 1960s is inviting the public to explore its heritage.
Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall will open its doors on Saturday, May 30, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Originally a Countess of Huntingdon’s Connexion Chapel, the building was saved thanks to a campaign led by the Worcester Civic Society, who transformed it into the venue it is today.
Since the opening orchestral concert in 1987 numerous events and performances of all genres have been hosted.
Visitors can pick up an information leaflet, just wander around, see the beautiful stained glass windows, sit in the original chapel pews or join a guided 20 minute tour running every hour.
Kind donations will go towards organ restorations.
