AN 11-year-old girl has turned her newfound baking hobby into a small business.
Sophia Inett-Koszelewska is gearing up to open a bake shed packed with sweet treats outside her home in Dines Green.
The shed, like many that are popping up around the city, will be honesty based, meaning people can help themselves to treats and pay by leaving money in a box or via a QR code.

“I’m quite nervous because you don’t know if someone is going to run off without paying but I’m going to trust people to do the right thing,” Sophia said.
Customers will be able to choose from a selection of cookie pie slices, brownies, cupcakes, bake-at-home jars and movie night packs, which will be full of snacks and treats.
Having baked on occasions with her granny, Sophia said it was attending a food festival that got her even more interested in baking.
After arriving home, she took to the kitchen and has been baking ever since, even inspiring friends to give it a go.

“I went to a food festival and saw a lady baking cookies so I tried it and really liked them,” she said. “I think I’m quite good at it and my friend even said it made her want to start baking.”
With the help of her parents, Sophia has decorated an eye-catching pink shed, adorned with flowers.
“I did the flowers and sign and my parents fitted the shed,” she said.
Looking to the future, the young business owner said she may want to open her own shop or cafe.
“I’m going to get it up and running and maybe one day I will have a shop,” she said.
The Sophia Bakes shed, based on Tudor Way, will be opening Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, starting on May 29.
Sophia also plans to keep it open every day during the summer holidays.
