A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after a murder investigation was launched in Redditch.
The arrest comes after West Mercia Police were called to Martley Close shortly after 8.35am yesterday (Tuesday, April 28), where a 41-year-old man was found with a life-threatening stab wound.
He died in the hospital a short time later.
Following the incident, a murder investigation was launched, and after what West Mercia Police have described as ‘extensive enquiries’, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He remains in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Lougher from West Mercia Police’s Major Investigations Unit said: “We don’t underestimate the concern an incident of this nature will raise within the community, and we are grateful for the support following our recent appeal for information.
“We continue to express our condolences to the family of the man who sadly lost his life.
“Enquiries into his death will continue, and the public can expect to see officers in the local area as they offer reassurance and engage with their community.”
