‘Prince Andrew’ reference sliced off the bottom of plaque in Malvern

A REFERENCE to ‘Prince Andrew’ has been sliced off the bottom of a plaque in Malvern.

The plaque, which is about The Enigma Fountain on Belle Vue Island, had also commemorated the day in May 2000 that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had unveiled the fountain and Elgar statue.

Malvern Hills District Council removed the offending paragraph after more information was revealed about the former prince’s connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In February, Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

He has always denied any allegations of wrongdoing.
