Drivers warned as sections of the M5 close in Worcestershire this weekend

Motorists are being advised to plan their journeys due to motorway closures this weekend.

The disruption is expected on the M5 due to scheduled roadworks between Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13.

The Midlands and the South West of England are connected by the M5 motorway.

It is more than 160 miles long, and the RAC explains that the motorway “starts at Junction 8 of the M6 at West Bromwich, and ends in Exeter, in Devon.”

On the M5 in both directions, Junction 8 to M50 Junction 4, drivers can expect entry slip road and lane closures to allow for maintenance works to take place.

This will start from 8pm on Friday and finish on Saturday at 6am.
