Man named and charged after Warndon stabbing

A MAN has been charged after a stabbing in Warndon.

Brandon Cope, 21, has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a woman was taken to hospital following an incident on Cranham Drive on March 30.

The woman was treated for stab wounds and later discharged from hospital.

Cope, of Windermere Drive in Worcester, has also been charged with possession of a knife or sharp, pointed article in a public place.

He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on May 1.

West Mercia Police has also confirmed that the other two people who had been arrested following the incident have since been released on bail.

A 22-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assault, possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon, and a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply and assisting an offender.
